About This Event

Back by popular demand! Following the success of our previous events, UK Astronomy returns to Stowe House for another evening of stargazing in this stunning historic setting.

In partnership with Stowe House, we invite you to join us for an introductory talk exploring the planets and stories of our solar system, followed by outdoor observing on the South Front. Using UK Astronomy's own telescopes, and guided throughout by our experienced UK Astronomy volunteers, you'll learn how to navigate the night sky and observe planets and constellations as darkness falls.

If cloud cover prevents stargazing, the evening will continue indoors with a second astronomy talk, ensuring a full and engaging experience regardless of the weather.

You're welcome to bring your own binoculars or telescope, although UK Astronomy will provide all observing equipment for the evening. Due to limited time, we're unable to assist with setup or provide individual support for personal telescopes.

No previous knowledge is needed and questions are encouraged throughout the evening.

Essential info:
• Timings: 6-9pm.
• Light refreshments are included in the ticket price.
• Dress Comfortably: Wrap up warm and wear appropriate footwear for a winter's evening outdoors.
• Suitable for: This event is perfect for families, as we welcome young and old alike. Discover together, learn together, and create lasting memories under the stars.
